8 days from Casablanca to Sahara, This tour from Casablanca will take you to the main imperial cities of Morocco, and will allow you to explore the dunes of Merzouga, and will give you the opportunity to discover the oases and kasbahs of southern Morocco.
► Itinerary:
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fez
Departure from your accommodation in Casablanca to Fez via Rabat, where we explore the Kasbah des Oudayas: the Hassan Tower. We continue to Meknes, where you will visit the Medina, the Moulay Ismail mausoleum, Bab Mansour, the largest and most remarkable of the Meknes gates. We continue to Volubilis to explore the Roman ruins, then continue to Fez. Arrival at the Riad Dinner and night.
Day 2: Fez
After breakfast, we will explore Fez with a local guide, you will discover the medina, historical places, palaces, schools, the Jewish quarter… Dinner and accommodation in your riad in Fez.
Day 3: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
Today we drive to the Middle Atlas mountains visiting Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou. We head towards Midelt, famous for its mineral products, then we cross the Ziz valley. We will visit Erfoud, famous for its fossils. We drive to Rissani and continue to Merzouga, here your camel guide will take you through the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi to the desert camp where you will spend the night in a nomad tent, enjoy the sunset in the dunes.
Day 4: Merzouga
After breakfast, you will go by camel to the village of Merzouga and then we will leave by 4 × 4 towards the village of Khamlia. We know and listen to the music of Gnawa. then visit a nomadic family that lived in the desert of Merzouga. After lunch in Merzouga we return by camel to the camp. or enjoy a quiet night in the dunes.
Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
Today we return to the city of Mezouga on the back of a camel. Then we will head to Tinghir to explore the Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. We cross the Dades Valley where we spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 6: Dades Gorges – Ait ben haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will explore Kalaat Mgouna, famous for its rose products. We continue to Skoura and Ouarzazate, where we visit Taouririte Kasbah, the film studios. We also explore the kasbah of Ait Ben haddou. It is the largest kasbah in Morocco classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We cross the Tizi ‘n’ tichka mountain towards Marrakech. Dinner and accommodation in a riad in Marrakech.
Day 7: Marrakech
After breakfast, your local guide will take you to explore the city of Marrakech: Menara Gardens, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Minaret and Jemaa el Fna Square… Dinner and overnight at your riad.
Day 8: Transfer to the airport
Transfer to the airport of Marrakech or Casablanca.
