► Overview:
The 3-day tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert, is an excellent tour to discover the southeast of Morocco and the sand dunes by camel, and return to Marrakech.
► Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Boumalne Dades
We pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech at 8:00 am, and departure to Ait Ben Haddou through the High Atlas mountains through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 meters), visit of the Glaoui kasbah in Telouat and continuation to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou classified UNESCO world heritage, After the guided tour of the famous kasbah and lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate and we will stop near the atlas film studios for photos and then continue to the city center to visit the kasbah of Taourirt.
After that, we head to Kelaa M’gouna and Boumalne du Dades for one night.
Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
After breakfast at the hotel, we will follow the road towards Tineghir passing through Boumalne du Dadès and we will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the Dades valley. Later, we will continue towards the Todra gorges passing through Timadriouine and Tineghir. Arrival at the Todra Gorges to enjoy its wonderful cliffs of more than 300 m. In the afternoon, we continue to Tinejdad, then to Erfoud where you will visit a fossil museum. After that, you will continue to Merzouga. Arrival at the hotel and after a break, your camel guide will take you back by camel to explore the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend the night in a nomad tent at the bivouac. Dinner and accommodation in bivouac.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi – Merzouga – Draa Valley – Marrakech
Get up early in the morning if you want to enjoy a magical sunrise in the dunes. After your breakfast, your camel guide will take you back by camel to Merzouga village. then we go to Rissani to see the Mausoleum of Molay Ali Chrif Alaoui. Then we continue our way through Alnif and the Tazarine palm grove towards the Draa valley, we will visit the Berber village of Nkob, and then we will continue through the Draa valley in Agdz where we will visit the Tamnougalt kasbah. Then we pass through the city of Ouarzazate and the High Atlas mountain. Arrival in Marrakech and return to your accommodation.
